Eastern Bison Association: Strength in Regional Representation
The Eastern Bison Association (EBA) operates as a strategically organized regional entity, structured into three key regions that collectively represent a diverse membership spanning twelve core states, with representation extending beyond. This regional framework ensures focused support and tailored resources for bison producers across different geographical areas. Recognizing the evolving needs of the bison industry, the EBA proactively evaluates its regional structure every three years, demonstrating a commitment to adaptability and effective member representation.
Region 1:
Bison of the Northeast States

Region 1 encompasses the Northeast, bringing together the bison farmers of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. This region benefits from a shared understanding of the Northeastern climate and market dynamics for raising bison and distributing bison meat.
Region 2:
Delaware to West Virginia and Ohio

Region 2 covers the United States from Delaware to West Virginia, serving the bison ranchers of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. This region represents a significant area for bison ranching, fostering collaboration and the exchange of best practices in herd health management and sustainable bison production.
Region 3:
Representing Bison Across the Nation

Region 3 was thoughtfully created to provide dedicated representation for EBA members residing in all other states beyond the core twelve. This inclusive approach ensures that bison producers across the broader United States have a voice within the association, fostering a national network dedicated to the advancement of the American bison and the bison industry as a whole. This regional structure empowers the EBA to address both the specific needs of its core eastern membership and the broader interests of the national bison farming community.
