Austin bought a dairy farm in 1981. In the fall if 1990 he purchased his first 5 bison -- 3 female calves and 2 cows. The pregnant cows produce one calf. One "pregnant" cow had no overies! He also announced that perhaps we should get ready for these animals arrival the next day. They survived quite well in two super hutches until spring, when he was actually ready for them!

We now have over 60 bison, a retail store, tours and a successful food truck.
